". . . scrambling to find ugly portables haphazardly parked in parking lots of various schools. . . ."

Let's not forget that the School Board approved $11.2 MILLION for "ugly portables" last December; dare I suggest that should be the first allocation on the chopping block to help balance the budget???

I'm curious if anybody has calculated the cost of shutting down the Marshall building, and moving all of the programs to other campuses.

This building has been modernized to accomodate not only 10+ computer labs on campus, but also a completely wireless network across the entire building. It's a costly process that would have to happen from scratch at any other building in the District.

I'm curious if other buildings even have space for computer labs (let alone space for the additional classrooms) that would have to be utilized in the event of a campus closure. I'd hate to see us close a building mid-summer, only to be scrambling to find ugly portables haphazardly parked in parking lots of various schools; let alone discovering that the thousands of dollars worth of computer equipment obtained by BizTech High School through grants was completely unusuable due to a lack of space or technological capabilities at the new schools.
