Perhaps the boundaries of Zone 7 were designed deliberately to exclude the high schools as a way of disempowering the people who live there when it comes to education decisions. Educational gerrymandering.

When were the current zone boundaries drawn? Marshall and Madison have only been around for about 50 years; we all know PPS has been around much longer than that.

It seems strange that Dilafruz doesn’t have a high school in her zone. I think she’s done a much better job of asking questions than Trudy. I also like that she has a background in education.

Most of Marshall’s feeders are in Dilafruz Williams’ zone. Maybe she’s the one you should ask for representation. I don’t know that Trudy tries very hard to represent Franklin either, which is also in her zone. Her kids go to Cleveland.

To be fair, Trudy did come to the Marshall meeting last week, on crutches.

Well, surprise, I had thought she had neglected to even reply to the meeting invitation… good to hear that she had a good excuse. I mean, it takes me 15 minutes on my bike to get to Mt. Scott from Marshall, a five minute drive would have been absolutely exhausting…
